EIFS - Exterior Insulation & Finish System

Secondary Barrier Design, Cement-Board Stucco 1000 and Stucco Wall Systems are rainscreen designs that provide a secondary moisture barrier. However, they do not incorporate a drainage plane. If a drainage plane is required, the Channeled Adhesive/ Channeled Insulation or Adhered Mat Designs should be selected.

If the project design requires high wind-load ratings, contact the Wall Systems Technical Representative. Wind-load ratings for various systems are also provided in Technical Bulletin 1017674.

    Senerflex® Classic PB

The standard in exterior insulation and finish systems for 35 years.

Basic design components include expanded insulation board, adhesive reinforcing mesh base coat and finish.

Use for exterior walls in new and retrofit commercial and institutional construction where exterior insulation and higher wind loads are design considerations.

Features: Benefits:
  • Adhesive attachment:
Achieves high wind-load capacity
  • Unlimited colors, textures and architectural details:
Support design freedom, create details that would be impossible or cost prohibitive with other claddings
  • Exterior insulation:
Reduces energy costs
  • 100% Acrylic, reinforced base coats:
Produce a weather-resistant barrier, provide crack resistance
  • 100% Acrylic finish coats:
Resist fading and abrasion, offer options for added dirt/mildew resistance

Senerflex® Secondary Weather Barrier Design

The addition of liquid or trowel-applied secondary air/ weather barriers provides additional protection of the substrate.

Use for exterior walls in new and retrofit commercial and institutional projects when additional moisture protection of the sheathing is desired or required to satisfy codes.

Features: Benefits:
  • Secondary air/weather
    barrier:
Protects the sheathing, guards against incidental moisture intrusion and air infiltration
  • Unlimited colors, textures and architectural details:
Support design freedom, create details that would be impossible or cost prohibitive with other claddings
  • Exterior insulation:
Reduces energy costs
  • 100% Acrylic, reinforced base coats:
Produce a weather-resistant barrier, provide crack resistance
  • 100% Acrylic finish coats:
Resist fading and abrasion, offer options for added dirt/mildew resistance

Senerflex® Channeled Adhesive Design

A reliable, economical moisture-managed EIFS for a wide variety of appliations. If desired, channeled insulation board can replace the standard insulation (Senerflex® Channeled Insulation Design).

Use when a rainscreen or moisture drainage Class PB EIFS is desired or required to satisfy code issues related to drainage. Also for use where high wind-load requirements dictate the use of adhesive attachment.

Features: Benefits:
  • Vertical adhesive channels
    attach EPS:
Drains incidental moisture to the exterior
  • Liquid applied, continuous secondary air/weather
    barrier:
Added protection and comfort
  • Unlimited colors, textures and architectural details:
Support design freedom, create details that would be impossible or cost prohibitive with other claddings
  • Exterior insulation:
Reduces energy costs
  • 100% Acrylic, reinforced base coats:
Produce a weather-resistant barrier, provide crack resistance
  • 100% Acrylic finish coats:
Resist fading and abrasion, offer options for added dirt/mildew resistance

Senerflex® Adhered Mat Design

A moisture-managed EIFS that is designed for higher windload applications.

Use when direct adhesive attachment is not suitable or when drainage is desired or required to satisfy code issues related to drainage. Also for use where high wind-load capacity is a design consideration as for high-rise construction in coastal areas.

Features: Benefits:
  • Integrated system for unobstructed water management:
Drains incidental moisture to the exterior
  • Unlimited colors, textures and architectural details:
Support design freedom, create details that would be impossible or cost prohibitive with other claddings
  • Exterior insulation:
Reduces energy costs
  • 100% Acrylic, reinforced base coats:
Produce a weather-resistant barrier, provide crack resistance
  • 100% Acrylic finish coats:
Resist fading and abrasion, offer options for added dirt/mildew resistance

Senerflex® Stucco Wall System

A fiber-reinforced, hard-coat stucco system. Superior alternative to traditional stucco systems.

Use for exterior walls in new or retrofit residential, light commercial and institutional construction as an alternative to 3-coat stucco systems.

Features: Benefits:
  • SENERGY STUCCOBASE™ PREMIX:
Can be used in a one or two coat application, speeds application, reduces labor cost
  • Pre-blended mixture:
Reduces job-site mixing; more consistent product
  • Fiber-reinforced formula:
Strengthens crack resistance
  • 3/8–7/8 inch thickness:
Impact and puncture resistance
  • 100% Acrylic finish coats:
Resist fading and abrasion, offer options for added dirt/mildew resistance

Senerflex® Cement-Board Stucco 1000

An uninsulated system that provides the stucco look over impact- and moisture-resistant ASTM C-1325 cement board.

Use for exterior walls in residential, low-rise commercial and institutional construction when high-impact and weather-resistance are design considerations.

Features: Benefits:
  • Cement board core:
Reinforces impact and puncture resistance, provides moisture resistance, increases
dimensional stability
  • Unlimited colors, textures and architectural details:
Support design freedom, create details that would be impossible or prohibitive with other claddings
  • Water-managed design:
Allows evacuation of incidental moisture
  • 100% Acrylic, reinforced base coats:
Produce a weather-resistant barrier, provide crack resistance
  • Rapid, mechanical attachment:
Speeds application; reduces labor cost; close-in structure quickly
