Aggregate, sand and gravel

Our sand and gravel is mined in Palmer and shipped to town by rail. The railcars of sand and gravel are unloaded at the terminal in the Klatt Pit facilities area. The sand and gravel is crushed, screened, washed and sold by the gravel processing group in the Klatt Pit.

Delivery Info

Delivery Orders
Delivery order requests from the customer shall specify the number of trucks required, and the approximate number of hours of delivery required by each truck. Also, the customer shall specify the type of material to be delivered and the approximate total number of tons required for the project.

Minimums
For single truck orders, there is an one (1) hour minimum. For multiple truck orders, there will be a four (4) hour minimum per truck. Minimum aggregate delivery is one (1) ton of material.

Jobsite Access
The contractor/ customer is responsible for maintaining suitable accessibility to the project site. Any costs, such as wrecker charges, dozer rental or damage to delivery truck, etc., incurred due to improperly maintained ingress or egress, or job site unloading area, will be charged to the customer.

Customer will pay trucking charges for undeliverable loads resulting from poor road conditions, lack of clearance and other steep or untruckable terrain. Residential deliveries will be made with end dumps only.

Standby Time
AS&G will allow five (5) minutes free unloading time at the job site. All time beyond these five minutes will be charged at the appropriate Standby Rate.

Delays
All transportation costs other than those included in the FOB destination prices shall be paid for by the customer.

Point of Origin
Point of origin shall be the Klatt Road Terminal facility or other AS&G facilities from which materials are delivered.

Spring Road Restrictions Period
All delivery rates by the ton or truck load are void during weight limit restriction periods.

Winter Hours

Winter Hours
Winter hours from November 1 to April 30 are on demand only.

Winter Prices
Effective from November 1 through April 30.
Add $1.50 per ton to processed aggregate and pit run.

Winter Shut Down 
Klatt Road Pit closes for the winter shut-down on November 1. After winter shut-down, call for quotations and availability of materials. Some material will be available by the cubic yard at the Highland Street Sales Counter & Warehouse.

Winter Operations Charge 
There is an extra winter operations charge for operations from November 1 through April 30 for the Klatt Road Pit. The minimum shift for winter operations is 4 (four) hours. The winter operations charge is in addition to any cost for materials.

Winter Conditions
Delivery rates by the ton or by the truck load are void under winter conditions.
